React was a prototype first responder training simulator built by IPKeys, using Unreal 4.
This ReAct scenario was developed as a showcase for training near future technologies such as drones and infrared cameras in urban environments. Development was approximately 4 months using Unreal 4. I lead a small team of artists while building the blueprints for the interactive demo.
My role for ReAct was Lead Designer, and Technical Artist. I was primarily responsible for:
- Leading 3-4 artists in the construction of assets, and asset integration.
- Environment and Scenario Design, Construction.
- Implementing blueprint systems for drone and character pawns, their controllers and animation systems.
- UI/UX
Of particular interest was the control of the drone, and the blueprint system I developed to make drone control easier. I implemented a spline system with a magnetic like quality to guide the player through tight areas where control would be otherwise extremely difficult.
